Takeshi Sano
Representative Executive Officer, President & Global CEO, dentsu and CEO, dentsu Japan
Takeshi Sano joined Dentsu Inc., in 1992, building his career within the Business Produce divisions in which he became Managing Director in 2017. In 2021, Sano was appointed Executive Officer of Dentsu Inc., followed by Director of other group companies in Japan as well as managing areas in marketing & promotion, Business Transformation (BX) and Digital Transformation (DX). In 2022, he was appointed Executive Officer of Dentsu Japan Network, and Executive Officer in charge of Business Produce and Global at Dentsu Inc. In January 2023, he joined dentsu’s Group Executive Management and became CEO of Global BX, dentsu, while also serving as Managing Executive Officer of Dentsu Inc.
Sano was appointed CEO, dentsu Japan and Representative Director, President & CEO of Dentsu Inc. in January 2024 and subsequently became Deputy Global Chief Operating Officer of dentsu in January 2025. From March 2026, Sano assumed the role of Representative Executive Officer, President & Global CEO, dentsu, while continuing to serve as CEO, dentsu Japan.
